Unionized Faculty Now on Strike

Sunday, October 15, 2017

Unionized faculty (professors, librarians and counsellors) are on strike beginning Monday, October 16.  During the period of the strike, these employees will not perform work-related duties, including contact with students. Therefore, all full-time (daytime, evening and weekend) courses have stopped

Part-time (in class and online) courses will continue to run, with some exceptions, and those delivered by our university partners may continue to run. Throughout the strike, the College will remain open, with administrative and support staff reporting to work. For a list of programs that are affected by the strike (and exceptions), and to learn which services and events will continue, please read our Frequently Asked Questions.

Before you head to any of our campuses, please carefully read and follow our Guidelines for Crossing a Picket Line Safely and Respectfully. Throughout the strike, we will provide you with updates via your myCentennial email, the studentHUB and our Facebook and Twitter accounts. We will post regular updates on the College website. You can also direct any questions you may have to the Centennial College Strike Hot Line 416-289-5226.
