Ashtonbee Campus – Centennial’s oldest property - is home to our automotive programs, select liberal arts and pre-health programs, as well as a few of our community and health studies programs. The building, previously the former headquarters of Volkswagen Canada, offers two-storeys of learning space with full-size labs to work on transportation equipment, as well as a bookstore, cafeteria and 300-seat auditorium.
In 2013, the campus underwent a significant expansion with a new library building as well as a larger gym facility. The bold rejuvenation of the campus space was the recipient of a number of architectural design awards, including the 2016 Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia – Award in Architecture – Merit Awards and the 2015 Toronto Urban Design Awards – Public Building in Context – Award of Excellence.
I never knew what my potential was until I joined Centennial College. It is here where I actually strive for excellence and thrive. The classrooms felt like mini workshops where I could gain knowledge and enhance my technical and interpersonal skills to be competitive in the field of HR. At present, after four semesters, I feel confident in my abilities to step into the workforce. From formulating a resume to mock interviews, the co-op office helped me every step of the way in securing the position of HR coordinator at Silfab Solar Inc. The personalized support with in-person interviews along with site visits made me feel secure in my endeavours as I stepped into the workforce. — Hina Tariq, Business Administration – Human Resources, Graduate, 2016
