||Students who complete this course are prepared for college career programmes requiring knowledge of basic human anatomy and physiology. The course allows students to explore how the organ systems of the body are structured and how they work together to ensure the survival of the body and all its cells. As well, students will examine how the body's systems and cells maintain peak functioning levels of homeostasis at the physical and chemical levels of operation. The material is taught in lecture mode with some laboratory demonstrations. Students are expected to do a considerable amount of independent study outside of the classroom.
