Description: This Project Design course provides the student the opportunity to work in a group (2) to design a Mechanical Movable Assembly under the guidance of faculty. The focus, of the approved Design Project, is the manufacturing (addressing the CNC Machining Centers - Horizontal/Vertical/Turning) of all components of the design. This course is one of the prerequisites for CAD/CAM Project (Manufacture) in the fourth semester. Using the INVENTOR parametric solids software, students will create a solid assembly (of their project) with the functionality of animation and Presentation. Fully annotated Working Drawings will be extracted from the Solid Design, from which a detailed fully documented Process Plan for all manufactured parts will also be created.
