Communications Systems Maintenance

Description

This course is comprised of a weekly classroom theory session and a practical lab session.

In the classroom sessions, the student will learn about on-board aircraft communication systems including very high frequency(VHF) and high frequency(HF) radios and other systems such as passenger address, inter-phone, audio integration and in-flight entertainment systems. Topics will also include the cockpit voice recorder and the emergency locator transmitter.

(L) The lab component uses practical scenarios to introduce the student to various bench and on aircraft testing and the test equipment related to these systems.
