Description:

In this course students will be introduce to another type of transmission apart from the manual ones covered in drive train level 1 and 2. Students will gain a detail understanding of the torque Torque Converters, Fluid Couplings, and Hydraulic Retarders and their purpose. Students will study the purpose, functions, composition and the principle of operation for each part of Torque Converters, Fluid Couplings, and Hydraulic Retarders. Students will examine in detail the various components that make up Torque Converters, Fluid Couplings, and Hydraulic Retarders. Students will inspect, diagnose and recommend repair for each components on Torque Converters, Fluid Couplings, and Hydraulic Retarders. Students will also be taught in detail how the Hydrostatic Drive Systems work. Students will be able to perform inspection, testing, and diagnostic procedures following manufacturers’ recommendations on hydrostatic drives. Students will learn how to safely work on heavy equipment using the latest electronic and mechanical tools while adhering to the industry and government regulations.
