Description | This course will give the student a practical and theoretical understanding of how three-phase electrical systems work and how to perform calculations required for three phase systems, including power factor correction and RLC type loads. It also includes a complete study of the operation, types, testing, troubleshooting, and applications of three phase transformers, alternators and induction motors, including Squirrel Cage, wound rotor and Synchronous type motors. The student will understand the differences between Wye, Delta, and open Delta type three phase connections and calculating their resulting values. |
