Description: This course introduces students to business and marketing approaches and strategies in the fine art marketplace. Workshops will be given in photography and digital media with specific focus on creating suitable photo-reproductions of artwork for gallery and client presentations, portfolio assembly and written artists’ statements. Workshops will also be given in protocol, creating archives, writing grant applications, project and competition proposals, and gallery and curatorial operating principles. Students will use the knowledge acquired in this course to assemble a presentation portfolio at the end of the fourth semester.
