Global and Environmental Health

This course will discuss the current environmental and health risks resulting from global population growth, consumer-based economic activity, and a worldwide unprecedented demand for energy and resources. Emerging global health issues such as women’s reproductive health, global mental health and the AIDS crisis will be discussed in relation to development challenges including global health infrastructure, impacts of natural disasters, and mega-urbanization in the Global South. This course will be provided in collaboration with the School of Health and Community Services.
