This course is comprised of two parts. The first half of the course will explore the various sources of qualitative and quantitative health data that contributes to effective analysis of population health risks and wellness strategy success. Foundational concepts in the areas of data interpretation, visualization and development of actionable insights will be examined. Through case studies, students will be able to identify best practices for data privacy and confidentiality compliance. The second half of this course will investigate the growing number of digital wellness and health innovations currently available in the market. Students will have the opportunity to find creative and effective uses for technology in health promotion delivery using social media marketing tools.
