Working with still-life and interior and exterior compositions, students will draw from a variety of resources, imagined and observed, in order to develop cohesive bodies of work in a variety of chosen wet and dry media, including acrylics, oils, encaustics, watercolour, collage, monoprints, ink and wash, charcoal etc.
Emphasis will be placed on the discovery, adoption and development of personal motifs and conceptual, psychological and emotional levels of personal expression. A variety of delivery techniques including critiques, discussion and written assignments involving research as well as explication and rationale of their work, will be used. |
