Industry Field Placement is a required course for  students predicated on the premise that monitored work/study within a preapproved setting within the culture and heritage field provides an invaluable dimension to the student’s career preparation. This method of applied learning enables the student to relate classroom theory to actual workplace circumstances. By facilitating a better understanding of the dynamics of the industry, Industry Field Placement reinforces the student’s knowledge of current industry practices and provides a competitive advantage toward attaining entry-level job experience. Industry Field Placement provides the signal opportunity for execution of the Mentorship experience with placement supervisor serving as Mentor thus affording the learner the benefit of tutelage with an appropriate sector practitioner throughout the semester.
