||In this course the learner will gain an understanding of the nutrition that body systems require to maintain health. Food as an energy source will be examined in the context of a multicultural and diverse client base. Menu planning in relation to energy sources will be explained. Students will relate body system knowledge to body system needs. Utilization of various guidelines and examination of traditional and natural nutritional practices will open the classroom for discussion around healthy eating. Practice in setting up nutritional supplies for a spa setting will be introduced.
