| Description | This course in painting will introduce the students to both observed and imagined approaches to objective painting in various media. Painting techniques and materials will be introduced in context with the still-life, interior and exterior compositions.
Colour theory will be introduced in context with the principles of design and composition, local, optical, arbitrary and symbolic applications of colour, colour systems, colour schemes, perspective, and will include elements such as value, structure, shape and form. Emphasis will be placed on personal expression, and a variety of delivery techniques including one-on-one instruction, critiques, instructor demonstration, and the opportunity to produce work independently, will be used. |
