| Description | This course provides an introduction to primary health care and health promotion for a diverse adult population. Students will be introduced to the practical nursing role in the assessment of physiologic and psychosocial health using a holistic needs approach within the framework of the nursing process. Students apply the nursing process and interview skills in the development of a basic nursing care plan for a healthy adult. Student activities include: mini-lectures, group discussion and study guide activities.
