Self-Management/Self Direction is an opportunity for students to learn success strategies that can be applied in their personal, social, academic, and employment lives, providing both the tools for self-development and an environment in which to use them. These strategies equip students with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours necessary to become confident, evolving learners and employees.

The course covers both practical and thematic work in areas of self-esteem and self-knowledge (understanding one’s own learning style, interests and skills); goal-setting, decision making and time management; critical thinking and lifelong learning; academic and career development; and effective group communication.
