Emergency Management and Public Safety Institute

When it comes to dealing with emergencies and threats to our safety, Canada needs organizations in its communities that are prepared and resilient, and for that, we need professionals with the right credentials. EMPSI helps create these professionals, by providing leading-edge programming that prepares leaders for success.  The Institute is committed to education, through the development and offerings of programs and pathways dedicated to emergencies and public safety.

The College has proud history of applied research activities related to emergencies, disaster management and public safety. We provide interprofessional learning opportunities for students in many different programs through our large scale disaster simulations and unique e-learning opportunities. We are recognized for innovation, commitment to quality assurance maintaining the relevancy of our programs, and to increasing our capacity for applied research in  healthcare, educational technology, emergency management, public health and safety. To keep our programming relevant, we follow the leadership and guidance of professionals and experts from a diverse range of disciplines and sectors who help develop our Institute.
