Field Placement Program

Centennial College’s School of Community and Health Studies Field Placement Program provides students with an enhanced learning experience through engagement with community organizations. Field placements encourage practical application of classroom learning in real world contexts, empowering students to make connections between theory and practice while developing essential employability skills under the guidance of a field supervisor. Students from our Social Service Worker, Addictions and Mental Health and Community Development programs are well-trained in interpersonal skills, counseling, group facilitation, and case management and are eager to work with your agency and the communities you serve. Current placements are extremely flexible and customized according to the capacity of community agencies with the expectation that students can work anywhere between 2-16 hours/week from September-December.
