From a young age, I was always attracted to designing, drafting and understanding how things work. When I discovered the Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering Program at Centennial College, it was evident that I had come across the field of study best suited for me. The Aerospace Engineering program provided me with the hands-on experience that I was missing. With the newly assembled labs at Downsview campus, I was able to exercise skills that are essential in the aerospace industry. Learning how to use the CAD software, CNC and CMM machines that are actually being used by industrial leaders is almost too good to be true. What I like most about my program is that it has been constructed so that every class is intertwined with the next. The courses elucidate the fundamentals and teach you the designing and manufacturing methods required in the workforce. On top of that, I enjoy the freedom the staff gives the students to work on their own ideas. It allows us to be creative and have fun at the same time. The program is teaching me the knowledge, skills and professionalism required for a career in aerospace manufacturing engineering. With a fantastic team of professors as our guide, we are shown all the twists and turns that will show up in the near future. Every day I learn something new that contributes to my assets and confidence. I believe there are not many institutions that can combine theory and practicality in aerospace studies the way this program has. For someone looking to kick start their career or strengthen their knowledge in aerospace designing, manufacturing and associated technological methods, this is definitely the way to go. — Kosta Dimopoulos, Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Student, 2019
