Welcome to the 2021 Centennial College Skills Competition Online registration

Competition Information:

Date: Monday March 29, 2021, 6:30pm
Registration closes: Friday March 26, 2021

This year due to Provincial, City and School COVID restrictions, we are unable to host an in-person selection competition as we have in the past. At this time we will be hosting a written technical test to determine Centennial's competitors for the Virtual Skills Ontario Competition. Eligibile competitors (please see below) will proceed on to the Virtual Skills Ontario Competition based on the top scores on the written technical test. (4 space for Automotive & 2 spaces for Heavy Duty)

Rules:

For all competition areas, this will be a written technical test for qualification for the Virtual Skills Ontario Competition (please see below) In order to attend you must do the following:

  • Register for your competition area
  • Have the Mandatory Campus Re-entry Guidelines and Protocols Training Course completed on eCentennial
  • Be approved for on-campus activities through the Daily COVID Assessment application

Ontario Skills Competition:

Winners of the Centennial Skills Competition in Automotive and Heavy Duty who qualify may go on to the Virtual Skills Ontario Competition (VSOC) in May 2021 (Automotive will be held on Monday May 3rd, and Heavy Duty will be held on May 4, 2021). In order to qualify for the Virtual Skills Ontario Competition, competitors must be no older than 29 years of age in the year of the competition (2021). Birth date must fall in 1992 or later. Proof of age must be available upon request. In addition, you must not be licensed in any trade. Please visit the link below for the rules and all qualifying information for the Ontario competition.

The Virtual Skills Ontario Competition will be a hands-on competition with the selected Centennial competitors competing at Centennial College. The eligible winner of the VSOC in these disciplines may progress to the Skills Canada National Competition that will also be held in a virtual format.
