Archetype Custom Framing Inc.

Archetype Custom Framing Inc. is a custom picture framing studio that is looking to make some changes in order to increase productivity and improve the organization and layout of the space. The Design Jam graduates are responsible for finalizing the layout of their workshop and to design storage solutions for materials and supplies. The graduates tasked with this project are: Aayushi Gajjar (Business Administration - Human Resources), Michael Pickett (Product Design and Development), and William Haydock (Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology - Automation & Robotics). 

Centennial College Leadership Academy

Centennial College Leadership Academy and the Co-Curricular Student Learning and teams at Centennial College are looking to launch an interactive, student-centered resource mapping the complete inventory of co-curricular opportunities offered at Centennial College detailing how students can become involved at the college through these opportunities. The Design Jam team will be responsible for producing a complete inventory of all co-curricular offerings – activities, programs and resources – at the college, designed to be fully accessible and one that is easy to navigate. Taking on this challenge are: Navdeep Saini (Global business Management), Romy Paola Pena Pasapera (Global business Management), Valeriya Papenko (Business - Supply Chain and Operations), Vandrea Thompson (International Development), Pardhu Kota (Project Management),and  Sanjeev Wignarajah (Lifestyle Media).


DAPP is a mobile connections platform that helps people find others to attend events with for free. Our graduates are helping them with creating brand awareness through implementing product marketing campaigns and assisting with developing both short-term and long-term marketing strategies. The graduates taking on this project are: Hiral Upadhyay (Software Engineering Technology), Sunmi Yoon (Software Engineering Technology), and Tolulope Agbana (Marketing - Corporate Account Management).


eCAMION is a market leader in energy storage and battery integration solutions.Their project for Design Jam team is to design and execute a social media strategy to be published on eCAMION’s various social media platforms including but not limited to Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.  The team will study competing and similar brands’ social media content mix, and work to create visual and text-based content to publish on eCAMION’s own channels using a consistent voice and brand. The graduates working on this project are: Daidriann Cornwall (Project Management), Gavin Davis (Art and Design Fundamentals), and Juan Leal (Events Management).

Inner Glow Superfoods

IInner Glow Superfoods provides sustainably sourced, organic açaí purée from the Amazon region of Brazil to Canadians. Their project for the Design Jam team is to increase brand awareness, build upon the company's social enterprise model and enhance efficiency of business operations. The graduates working on this projects are: Amirthavarshini Arulappan (Marketing - Research and Analytics), Ellen Silva Guilherme (Project Management),  and Rehmat Kour(Special Event Planning).

Nelson Education

Nelson Education is Canada’s only remaining educational publisher with a proud 105-year legacy. They are developing a new platform for distribution – new technology that will solve challenges for students, institutions, bookstores, and publishers. The Design Jam participants will be responsible to assist Nelson in developing a financial model for their new course material delivery platform in the post-secondary market. Up for the challenge are: Juan Solano (Business Administration - International Business), Linda Sanchez Hernandez (Bookkeeping), and Stacy Lutchman (Marketing Management).

Smart Pool Saver Inc.

Smart Pool Saver is a Smart Home, IoT, swimming pool automation system that will save up to 70% of related operational energy expenses. Users can control the system and view reports via the Android or iOS mobile app. They have challenged our Design Jam graduates to help with developing traditional and/or digital marketing materials, branding, market research, the development of product and training guides, and developing strategic re-seller and sales channel alliances. Taking on this challenge are: Ashudeep Doda (Mechanical Engineering Technology - Design), Faruk Hekimoglu (Automation and robotics) and Hon-Wa Wong (Medical Laboratory Technician).


Unplug is the world’s first autonomous, networked “intelligent plug”, designed to eliminate electricity waste, saving money and reducing environmental impact. Our Design Jam graduates will provide support with advancing the hardware development stage of Unplug, working on embedded software, electrical circuit design, and prototyping through 3D design.The graduates working on this projects are: Ajay Singh (Electromechanical Engineering Technician - Robotics & Automation), Ankit Verma (Product Design and Development), Yevhenii Liashenko (Marketing Research and Analytics).
