Our principal operations are in the high rise and low rise window cleaning field. There are several methods of approach including ladders, lifts, suspended platforms/stages, bosun's chair, and rope access. We will arrange and cover all necessary training certification for new employees, including Working at Heights. Our busy season is Spring & Summer and are always looking for fresh talent throughout the season. A pre-screen call and in-person interview along with resume submission and any prior certifications or training are part of the standard recruitment process, including comprehensive on-boarding and orientation procedures.

1. What are the benefits of working for your company as a summer student? What type of unique experience can a student gain from working for you?
Answer: "The window cleaning world was an untapped market that is recognized world-wide. There are dozens of transferable skills and certifications that any student can take into any career path in the future. The compensation for window cleaning, at both high and low rise capacities, is also quite substantial. We can provide the building blocks to a stable career path that is available year-round and all over the world. Additionally, working outside is much more interesting than being in an office or a shop all day."
2. What qualities are you looking for in an ideal candidate?
Answer: "Work will be available for at least 3-4 days of the week. All employees will work as part of a team, with team leads and supervisors for additional support."
3. What additional information can you provide about the summer job postings you have advertised with Centennial College?
Answer: "Someone who desires to improve themselves. We are looking for those capable of working well with a team, taking direction, adhering to all health & safety policies and best practices. The individual knows how to speak to managers and customers alike and is willing to improve their skill level each and every day.".
4. Can summer students continue working part time with your organization during the school year?
Answer: "Yes. However from November - February our operations are greatly reduced. We typically plan to operate from March until the end of October, weather depending."
5. What is it like to work in (name of town/city)? Do you provide assistance with relocation/accommodations? Is it easy to find a place to live for the summer?
Answer: "There is always a consistent flow of opportunities in the City of Toronto and in the GTA. Window cleaning is an area of expertise that most people don't think about as a career. It doesn't have to be acarer, but some have made a great living in doing so. Additionally, most of the certifications and training we provide give all our employees several transferable skills to work anywhere they want around the world. Employers in so many countries are always looking for hard workers with specialized skills. In Toronto, we have a beautiful skyline, a multicultural atmosphere, a welcoming and diverse suburban jungle, and a place to make great income, new relationships, and great memories. Aurum's operations are all over the Greater Toronto Area We can provide assistance in transiting employees to job sites, but cannot offer relocation or accommodation support. A lot of apartments/condos in the City of Toronto and surrounding area are sublet during the summertime, so there should be ample affordable places for students to live while they work in the area."
