Zodiac programs are based on a welcoming, unique and engaging premise that is simple and obvious in its appeal to children and parents. Zodiac consistently provides our participants with a safe, fun, exciting and memorable experience through experiential and age-appropriate programming. These unparalleled, play-based adventures aim to build campers' self-esteem and confidence and enhance his/her personal growth and development. We are always looking for enthusiastic, creative and responsible staff to join our team! We hire counsellors, swim staff, activity specialists, and healthcare assistants. Question and Answer
1. What are the benefits of working for your company as a summer student? What type of unique experience can a student gain from working for you?
Answer: "Working at camp allows staff members to build a number of workplace skills and life skills that can be applied to any workplace setting. Leadership, mentorship, communication, problem solving, adaptability, and creativity are only some of the skills you will gain from working at Zodiac for the summer. Not to mention, all of this skill development takes place in the most fun environment imaginable! Camp is the place to be for anyone aspiring to be in a leadership or educational position in the future, or for anyone looking to grow their skill base and have a summer experience to remember."
2. What qualities are you looking for in an ideal candidate?
Answer: "Zodiac is looking for Counsellors (for campers ages 3 - 14), Activity Specialists (for leading activities including, but not limited to: dance, martial arts, science, nature studies, sports, adventure, rock climbing, arts, theatre, and more!), qualified Swim Instructors, and Healthcare Assistants."
3. What additional information can you provide about the summer job postings you have
advertised with Centennial College?
Answer: "Above all, the ideal candidate is friendly, enthusiastic, approachable, a problem-solver, creative, and loves working with kids. Counsellors must be friendly, responsible, and wanting to work with kids. The specialist must have teaching, coaching, or instructors' experience (certifications in their specific areas of expertise are an asset). Swim instructors must possess Current WSI or Livesaving Swim Instructors, Current Standard First Aid/CPR C, Current NLS".
4. Can summer students continue working part-time with your organization during the school year?
Answer: "Most positions are summer positions only. There may be an opportunity for Swim Instructors to work part-time with our swim school, Zodiac Swim School, as a lifeguard or instructor during the school year."
