Centennial College has partnered with Appletree Medical Group to offer medical care services at Progress Campus. Developed in part to address student and staff feedback, the partnership is a key element of the College's health and wellness strategy.

The clinic is open to all Centennial students, staff, guests and neighbours for many common medical needs.

When to Visit the Clinic?

Before your visit, ensure the Telemedicine Clinic is able to meet your medical needs. For a complete list of medical needs included and excluded in the Appletree Telemedicine Clinic at Centennial services, visit our Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria.

Do not go to the Appletree Telemedicine Clinic for a medical emergency. Call 911. In an emergency, seconds count. If it's safe, stay where you are. Call 911. If trained, administer first aid.

Ready to Visit the Clinic?

The clinic provides same-day services, pending availability. You do not need an appointment, but you do need to register at the clinic's self-serve kiosk to reserve your spot in the consultation line. Want to see how long it will take? Visit the Appletree website to check wait times.

Clinic Hours of Operation

You can consult with a doctor, via video, at Centennial's Telemedicine Clinic:

Monday to Friday
9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Athletic and Wellness Centre, Progress Campus

Clinic Location

The Telemedicine Clinic is located inside the Student Association Spa Services (SASS) on the upper floor of the Athletic and Wellness Centre (AWC). When you arrive, check in at the AWC's main floor guest services desk to let them know you are visiting the clinic, then head upstairs. Register using the self-registration kiosk on the wall just outside SASS, then head inside to make yourself comfortable in the new waiting room.

When it's your turn, the clinic's Telemedicine Assistant will bring you to the private exam room. This medically-trained professional will provide on-site intake services, asking some preliminary questions to prepare you for the video consultation with the doctor. The assistant will then make the videoconference connection with the doctor and stay with you throughout your visit.

What to Bring

Each time you visit the Telemedicine Clinic, bring a list of all medications you are taking.

Ontario Residents

Please bring your Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) photo identification card. If you have the OHIP card without a photo, please bring a card with photo identification.

International Students

Please bring your guard.me insurance card, along with photo identification (e.g., passport) for identity verification. Please also bring a means of payment should there be additional costs.

Out-of-province Students

Please bring photo identification and a means of payment.

Appointment Cost

As part of the province's telehealth program, Ontario residents' telemedicine appointments are covered for by the OHIP as long as you have your OHIP card with you.

If you are not covered by OHIP, the cost is $75. Most private health benefits will either cover the cost upfront or reimburse you for the visit. Out-of-province Canadians can contact their provincial health care office for possible reimbursement. Policies vary by province.

International Students

Provided you have your guard.me insurance card and photo identification, the Telemedicine Clinic can charge guard.me directly for covered expenses. Please bring an additional means of payment for any costs not directly covered.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Just like a regular doctor's appointment, your telemedicine visit will be private and confidential. Your medical information is governed by strict laws regarding the protection of private health information. Only you and the health care professionals involved will see and hear the videoconference.

As part of the convenience with Appletree's services, you can visit any Appletree location. The attending medical professionals, with your permission, can access your Appletree medical file to best serve you.
