Centennial Place – Student Residence
Centennial Place is more than just a place to sleep. It's an opportunity to develop lifelong friendships and memories, to get involved in college activities and to mature in a rich academic and social community. We strongly recommend that international students stay in our residence during the first year of study to help jump-start their Canadian living and learning experience.
Coming to a new country can be exciting, but also intimidating. The Homestay program partners you with a family, who will help you to adjust to your new city by offering advice and information on getting around. You may choose to stay with the family for the rest of your study period, or just until you find your own apartment. While in homestay, you will also have the advantage of being in an environment in which English is the primary language. It will be like taking an extra language class every day.
The Centennial College Student Association Inc. (CCSAI) manages an off-campus housing service through a company called Places4Students Inc. The company makes sure that finding a home is headache-free through its free-to-search database, which lets you see the property before deciding to contact the landlord.
Here are a few other websites that provide listings of available rooms or apartments for rent:
Please note: It is important for you to do your due diligence and choose the service provider that is right for your needs - whether from this list or beyond. While the Services and Global Experience team reviews and updates the list based on feedback from international students and the community, the College does not officially investigate, endorse or guarantee any of the providers mentioned here. As such, the College assumes no responsibility in regard to the quality of services provided by these organizations.
Because we want to make settling into your new home as stress-free as possible for international students, the SaGE team provides a one-on-one drop-in service every semester where you can discover housing search tips, get access to resources, and learn how to navigate housing search portals.
If you are an international student, we can guide you in your search for housing by providing you with resources about neighbourhoods, helping you to understand housing policies, and much more. For assistance with securing housing, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and a member of our International Student Services team will be happy to assist you!
