Print Anywhere for Students

Beginning September 8, you will be able to print at any printer in the College. This will make printing more convenient, save time and help ensure your printed documents are secure.

With our new Print Anywhere service, you will control when and where your documents are printed. After you send a document to “Print”, it can only be printed after you have gone to the printer of your choice, entered your network ID and password and selected the document(s) for release. No one else will be able to access your documents held in the print queue and your pay-for-print account will not be charged until your file has been released at a printer. Documents will be held in the print queue for three hours after which time they will be deleted. If you decide you no longer want a printout of a document you sent to print or clicked “Print" in error, simply do not release it from a printer. It will automatically be deleted after three hours and your print account will not be charged.

Tap to Print Capability

To make this new printing process more convenient, you will be able to use your student card to "tap to print." All student ID cards issued in Fall 2015 has the technology already embedded into the card. For returning students or those with existing student cards, you will need to visit an IT Client Support Counter (see hours and locations below) where a sticker will be placed on your existing card.

You must associate your card with your network ID and password in order to use "tap to print."

Follow the four easy steps below to associate the card with your network ID and password

  1. Visit any printer or multi function device that has a card reader attached (most devices have this.)
  2. Tap your card up against the card reader.
  3. The printer will ask you to enter your network ID and password. Use the keypad on the device to enter this information.
  4. Once this information is entered your card will be ready. You will only need to do this once.  From then on, simply tap your card against the card reader and you will be able to release your printing from any printer in the College.

If you don’t have your student ID card on you, you can still release print jobs in the queue. Simply enter your network ID and password at the printer of your choosing to release your printing.
