Centennial Place Residence – Immunization Policy FAQs
Yes. Further to Centennial College’s COVID-19 Immunization Policy, all residents, regardless of enrolment status (in person or online) of Centennial Place must be vaccinated, unless otherwise approved for a medical or religious/creed exemption.
The Centennial College COVID-19 Immunization Policy applies to students/residents, staff, faculty, contractors/vendors, and approved guests of Centennial College, including Centennial Place.
No, Residence will not entertain exemption requests. All requests must go through, and be approved by, Centennial College.
Yes. Public Health directives are mandated by the City of Toronto, Province of Ontario, and Government of Canada, and will be enforced by Centennial Place staff as appropriate. Some limitations and/or restrictions have been implemented as security measures to mitigate any potential spread of the COVID-19 virus through Centennial Place, including maximum capacities to amenity spaces, distancing requirements, mask mandates, and suspension of guest privileges. Additional protocols and procedures may be implemented, removed, or changed over time.
Proof of vaccination must be uploaded through the Campus Safety Watch App. You can download the app from your Apple Store or Android provider app store.
After uploading your original vaccination documentation, your “Centennial Vaccine Passport” should be approved. An approval email will be delivered to you and will include a green QR code that links to your Centennial Vaccine Passport.
While residents do not need to provide proof of vaccination to move into Centennial Place, Centennial College’s Immunization Policy became effective September 7, 2021. Unless a resident is exempt from vaccination by Centennial College, or adheres to the rapid antigen testing protocols required by the College, Residents must be fully-vaccinated by Friday, October 29. Exempt individuals will still be required to comply with rapid antigen testing requirements beyond October 29 at intervals determined by Centennial College. Community members may access the on-campus clinic accessible at the Athletics & Wellness Centre (AWC) to receive their first dose, no appointment necessary. For times and availability, please visit this webpage.
If your vaccination is approved by the World Health Organization (WHO), you may upload your proof of vaccination to the Campus Safety Watch App. Before seeking additional vaccinations (if you have received a full-series of a non-approved vaccine), you should consult a physician for medical guidance. Please see the Ontario Ministry of Health’s Guidance for Individuals Vaccinated outside or Ontario/Canada for information and guidance on this matter.
