"Looking into the Future - 2040"

In partnership with the Culture and Heritage Institute, this symposium has a futuristic agenda. It presents an opportunity for dialogue that will imagine a future for Aboriginal people beyond the Canadian government's residential school apology. Speakers will be invited to share their vision of 2040, over thirty years from now when a 16-year old in high school will have reached mid-40s.

What is your image of the future?
What do you think is probable? Possible? Preferred?

Participants will explore Aboriginal themes related to:

• Demographics, nation-building, role models, identity and culture
• Global issues, the environment
• space, science and technology
• Health, politics, career trends, the workplace
