This program allows RN/RPNs to develop skills needed to perform facial esthetic services in medical spas.  It combines up-to-date theoretical knowledge combined with advanced clinical component.  This program addresses trends and the explosion of medical-esthetic industry.

Canada is experiencing unprecedented growth in the Medical-Spa industry, more than half of these clinics/spas are in Ontario.  There is a demand for trained nurses to fill positions as RN/RPN Esthetic Practitioners to assist plastic surgeons and dermatologists with a wide variety of treatments, including “physician facials”, injectables, laser resurfacing,  pre and post operative care, and many other treatments.  Add a new dimension to your capabilities and gain insider knowledge to make transitioning into a medical-spa venue an exciting leap toward a new career.  This is the only Esthetic Practitioner post-graduate certificate program designed specifically for trained nurses in Canada.

• MEPN-112 Understanding Esthetic Plastic Surgery and Principles

This program prepares individuals for an exciting career in esthetics. According to the latest statistics, spa going is the fourth largest leisure activity in North America, and as such, generates billions of dollars in revenue.

This program integrates theory and skill development in practical Spa applications, skin care and business.  Graduates are able to provide the entire range of professional services offered in today’s Spas, as well as successfully run their own businesses.   Ontario Spas are being promoted by travel and tourism industry as wellness destinations.  This increase in spa visits has created a great demand for highly skilled estheticians. Our program combines concepts from infection control, theory and hands-on, to professional sales and business practice.
