The Headline, Content, Start and End Dates for your New Items will be carried over to the converted Announcements in your Luminate course.
Replacement Strings (e.g., {FirstName}, {LastName}, etc.), which are used to insert certain user specific data into News Items have no equivalent function in Luminate, and thus should be removed from News Items in your course before it is migrated. Not doing so will render those Replacement Strings directly in your converted Announcements (e.g., "Hello there, {FirstName}!")
