The Headline, Content, Start and End Dates for your New Items will be carried over to the converted Announcements in your Blackboard course.
Attachments and Release Conditions on News Items do not transfer to converted Announcements post-migration.
All converted Announcements will be in draft status post-migration and will need to be posted for students to be able to view them.
Replacement Strings in eCentennial (e.g., {FirstName}, {LastName}, etc.), which are used to insert certain user specific data into News Items have no equivalent function in Blackboard, and thus will render directly in your converted Announcements (e.g., 'Hello there, {FirstName}!'). These should be removed post-migration.
