Discussion Forums and Topics will transfer to your Blackboard course post-migration, but with some slight changes to nomenclature. Discussion Forums become Folders in the Discussions tool, while Discussion Topics (where the actual online conversation takes place between students in eCentennial) simply become 'Discussions'.
Settings configured at the Forum level in your eCentennial course will transfer over to your Discussions in Blackboard. Settings configured at the Topic level will not transfer post-migration and may need to be reconfigured.
If your Discussion Topics were assessed and connected to a Grade Item, their point values and representation in the Gradebook will carry over to Blackboard.
The ability for an instructor to moderate posts, and the ability for students to rank posts, do not exist in Blackboard Discussions.
As rubrics and groups do not transfer post-migration, any rubrics or groups you had connected to your discussions will need to be recreated and reconnected to them.
