- Centennial College was the first publicly funded college in Ontario, and opened its doors in 1966
- There are almost 100 ethno-cultural groups represented on our campus, and over 80 languages spoken
- TV show Degrassi High was filmed at our Story Arts Campus in 1989, along with these other films that were filmed at Centennial campuses: Robocop, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, and Man of the Year
- The late comedic actor, John Candy, attended Centennial for Journalism and Acting in 1969
- In 2016 we opened our new Residence and Culinary Arts Centre at Progress Campus, an eight storey building that houses students, and is the home of the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts, complete with seven kitchen labs, eight new classrooms, a teaching restaurant and a conference and events centre located on the top floor
- Centennial College offers a wide range of wellness programs to support not only our students but our staff
- Centennial is the only Canadian College that has a campus in China
