Each month, the Centre for Faculty Development and Teaching Innovation (CFDTI), in collaboration with the School of Hospitality, Tourism, and Culinary Arts (SHTCA), hosts Full Moon Feasts—a unique gathering open to those who have completed the Foundations Garden. These incredible dinners offer a space for community, learning, and connection through food and traditional teachings.
The evening begins with a teaching from our Knowledge Keeper in Residence, Liz Akiwenzie, aligning with the teachings of the full moon. Following this, guests enjoy a beautifully crafted meal prepared by Chef Joseph Shawana and Chef Rodney Bowers, featuring seasonal and locally sourced Indigenous ingredients.
Held at the Local Café and Restaurant at Progress Campus, these feasts bring together a strong community of Indigenous and allied guests to share in food, knowledge, and conversation, strengthening relationships and understanding.
Join us for an evening that nourishes the mind, body, heart, and spirit.
