Indigenous Education Symposium

Indigenous Education Symposium

Each November, the Centre for Faculty Development and Teaching Innovation (CFDTI) hosts the Indigenous Education Symposium, a gathering dedicated to exploring Indigenous Knowledges and pedagogies in post-secondary education.

This annual event provides faculty, staff, and learners with an opportunity to engage with Indigenous scholars, Knowledge Keepers, and educators who share insights on integrating Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and teaching into learning environments. Through keynote presentations, interactive workshops, and panel discussions, participants deepen their understanding of Indigenous pedagogies and learn practical strategies for decolonizing education.

Join us as we continue to foster meaningful dialogue and action toward Reconciliation in education.
