In addition to the Indigenous Education Gardens, we offer ongoing workshops that respond to the diverse learning needs of our faculty and staff. Some workshops are recurring offerings, while others are developed to address just-in-time needs based on current events and emerging discussions. Topics range from cultural teachings, such as the Seven Grandfather Teachings and Medicine Wheel Teachings, to political and educational conversations exploring movements like Idle No More, land defense actions, or policy shifts impacting Indigenous communities. At times, our workshops serve as spaces for collective reflection and grief, such as when mass graves were found at former residential schools. The spectrum of offerings is vast, ensuring that faculty and staff have opportunities to engage, learn, and reflect in ways that are meaningful to their personal and professional growth. Workshops are announced in CCThisWeek, and CFDTI Weekly Compendiums; requests for specific workshops can be made through the ServiceNow Portal.
