Orange Shirt Day Symposium

Orange Shirt Day Symposium

Hosted annually by the Centre for Faculty Development and Teaching Innovation (CFDTI), the Orange Shirt Day Symposium is a key event in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Now in its fifth year, this symposium brings together learners, faculty, and staff to deepen their understanding of Reconciliation, decolonization, and Indigenization in post-secondary education.

Each year, we are honoured to welcome a Residential School Survivor as our keynote speaker, sharing their lived experiences and perspectives. Attendees also have the opportunity to participate in various sessions that explore the ongoing impacts of the residential school system and how we can collectively advance Reconciliation within our learning community's ties.

Join us next year for this important learning and reflection space as we continue to walk the path toward truth and Reconciliation.
