Eligibility
Members of the selection committee may not submit nominations or be eligible for nomination.
All nominees must be active volunteers or professionals in the field of emergency management or business continuity, in Canada, for five or more years in the past ten years. To enter, each nominee must complete and submit an Awards Nomination Form.
Process
- Nominations may be submitted by any person familiar with the nominee and his/her work; self-nominations will be accepted
- The nominator must choose one category per nomination
- Nominations must provide two references in addition to the nominator
- Awards Nomination Forms will be posted on Centennial College, Emergency Management and Public Safety Institute (EMPSI) website and available on request through empsi@centennialcollege.ca
- All nominations must be submitted to EMPSI using the Awards Nomination Form by 11:59 pm (EDT) on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.
Marketing the Awards
The 2016 Awards Call for Nominations and Process will be announced through Centennial College, EMPSI website, as well from professional associations, education institutions, public and private sectors websites and related social media and networks.
Timeline for the 2016 Awards
- May 25: Nominations close
- May 29: Award winners selected
- June 2: Award winners and their nominators are notified
- June 7/8: Awards presented at the World Conference on Disaster Management (WCDM)
Awards Selection Committee Representation
