I grew up in church. The ideas that were taught to me had me struggling with my identity and was suicidal for so long. I remember when I first came out to myself, I thought things were so hard. Now I just want to tell my younger self, “Haha, you think being gay is hard? What if I told you that you are also non-binary, trans and bisexual?”
Nothing is easy, but everything is finally making sense now and I am grateful for being able to live my truth.
