Enrolment is open now for new participants in Fundamentals of Indigenous Education and Anti-Racism (Fundamentals) for College employees on the Centennial Talent Academy.
To allow the program to reach all employees, enrolment is limited to new participants. Those who completed the program in the past have ongoing access to the content as a resource, but are not eligible to register for the program as part of a new cohort.
Fundamentals is for all employees at Centennial! Whether the content is completely new to you, resonates with your lived experience or amplifies previously acquired understanding, Fundamentals offers an opportunity to learn about the systems that shape the diverse experiences, perspectives and knowledge of our colleagues. It supports the development of common language with which to address challenges and creates the conditions for discussion across cultures in a structured and safe environment.
The program begins with 5-6 hours of self-guided e-learning over 10 weeks followed by live, small group discussions with several schedule options available once the e-learning is complete. To receive recognition for the program, both the e-learning and synchronous conversation must be completed. This critical professional development can be accessed on the Centennial Talent Academy.
