Welcome to the Performing Arts Centre at Centennial College's School of Communications, Media, Arts and Design. This new state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Scarborough provides students access to high-quality performance and rehearsal spaces, technical equipment, and opportunities to pursue their artistic interests and talents alongside their peers in our Dance, Music, Theatre and Performing Arts Fundamentals programs.
Every aspect of the Performing Arts Centre has been carefully thought out to meet the needs of our performing arts students. Surrounding the student lounge spaces are a variety of rehearsal studios, a black box theatre and private music rehearsal spaces. The rehearsal studios will provide students with space to practice, create, and develop their craft, while the black box theatre will allow for a variety of productions. The studios all feature cutting-edge sound systems, and the black box theatre has a professional-grade lighting grid and controls to accommodate a variety of performance styles and genres.
This new hub for the School of Communications, Media, Arts and Design performing arts programs will play an essential role in supporting the College's mission to provide students with a comprehensive education that prepares them for success in all aspects of their lives. I encourage our performing arts students to take advantage of the many opportunities the Performing Arts Centre offers, and everyone is eager to see all of the fantastic performances and productions that will take place within its walls.
