Ria Aikat is an educator, dancer, and voice actor who has dedicated her life to arts education. Ria completed the MT program at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), where she focused her research on the benefits of dance in the elementary classroom. Since then, Ria has co-founded Dance ’N’ Culture - an organization connecting teachers to diverse dance artists who offer authentic cultural dance programs in schools. Through her work in education, Ria has taught thousands of students of all ages across the GTA and is known for her high energy and accessible teaching style. She is also a faculty member in the Centennial College Dance Performance Program and recently returned to her alma mater as a Drama and Dance Education lecturer at OISE. She has over 20 years of dance training in styles including Bharatanatyam, Bollywood, Hip Hop, and House.
