Paul Eberhard is a Surfacing Artist and Supervisor for 3D Animation from Toronto, Canada, with almost 20 years of experience in feature animated films and TV.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Waterloo, where he specialized in Digital Imaging. Afterwards, he studied 3D Animation at Sheridan College.
Paul started working on animated series in Toronto as an Asset Artist doing 3D modeling, texturing and rigging. After a few projects he realized his passion was in texturing and surfacing and has focused in that area ever since. Some of his favourite projects he's surfaced on are Dreamworks' Trollhunters and Disney Jr's Elena of Avalor. He is currently a surfacing supervisor at DNEG in their feature animation division, working on major properties for the likes of Warner Bros.
Paul's teaching experience started at Centennial College in the Game Art program in 2017, when he taught the Environment Textures class. He then took a break from teaching and had a couple of kids. In 2022, he returned to the Game Art program to teach Environment Textures once again.
