Lindy Oughtred is the field placement co-ordinator for Centennial College’s journalism programs. In that capacity, she helps students find their ideal internship, whether that’s at the National Post, CTV or Beach Metro News, among other venues, and supervises them once they’re on the job. Prior to taking on this role, Lindy was a full-time journalism professor who taught courses in design and interviewing techniques and was an editor with torontoobserver.ca, the journalism program’s online publication. Before coming to Centennial, Lindy was an award-winning community newspaper reporter and editor in Oakville, Brampton and Mississauga.
