Ches Christian is a passionate educator, recording artist, and community leader who brings over two decades of experience to the classroom—and beyond. As Canada’s first-ever Rap Performance Professor at Centennial College, Ches is paving the way for hip-hop to be recognized and respected in academic spaces. His teaching isn’t just about beats and bars—it’s about helping students find their voice, build confidence, and use music to create real change.
A seasoned Faith-Based hip-hop artist and keynote speaker, Ches has rocked stages across the country and shared powerful messages in churches, schools, and conferences. His music, known for its positive energy and lyrical depth, challenges mainstream narratives while staying true to authentic hip-hop roots. His voice—often compared to that of Jay Z—carries both weight and warmth, making him a standout in Canada’s music scene.
Outside the studio and classroom, Ches is a mentor, workshop facilitator, and coach to aspiring musicians. He’s committed to walking alongside his students—not just as a professor, but as a partner in their growth. Whether he’s empowering a congregation, motivating young creatives, or elevating voices in the community, Ches leads with purpose and passion.
At Centennial College, Ches Christian is more than a professor—he’s helping the next generation of artists rise with skill, integrity, and impact.
