Vince Maccarone is a sought-after performer for both live and studio sessions. He is also a composer, band leader and educator including master classes and workshops. Vince is best known for his unique “global music” approach and is well versed in all styles of music. His live performances display an unbreakable link between traditional music and cutting-edge contemporary. Originally from the mining town of Sudbury, ON Canada, he is now based in Barrie, ON and tours throughout Canada, United States and Europe. After a 25-year absence from post secondary education, Vince has obtained three degrees including his Bachelor of Education degree and a master’s degree in Ethnomusicology. Vince’s compositions and drumming have been featured on many commercials, television shows and songs which he has recorded and are often on national radio. His original band Los Variants has released three CD's and tours nationally and internationally.
