Melinda Truong-Paal is a professor in the Early Childhood Program (ECE) at Centennial College. Melinda joined Centennial College in 2018 as contract faculty in 2018 and full-time professor January 2, 2020. Prior to that, she completed her Early Childhood Education Diploma at Seneca College in 2004. After graduating from Seneca College, Melinda worked as a Registered Early Childhood Educator for 18 years in a variety of early learning settings. While working at the childcare, Melinda furthered her studies part-time at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2015. Upon completion of her B.A., Melinda pursued her Masters of Science in Elementary Education at Medaille College, in Buffalo, New York in 2017.
After completing her graduate degree in education, Melinda continued her training as a TESL qualified teacher through the Canadian Centre for Language and Cultural Studies. Where she dedicated her focus on providing for her students innovative, fun and inspiring classes. Encouraging students to master English while also nurturing their love for the language.
Melinda is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and passion in the field of ECE with students, and to see them develop into successful Early Childhood Educators.
