Karen Koseck, graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 1991, and with her Masters in Rehabilitative Sciences in 2000. Karen obtained her Centennial College certificate in Teacher and Trainer of Adults in 2011. Karen has been working as an Occupational Therapist in Canada for over 30 years specializing in developmental neurology, school health support services, and clinical research. She has been a professor at Centennial College in the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant program since its start in 2007. In 2017, Karen also became the Program Coordinator. As part of the Canadian Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physical Therapist Assistant Educators’ Council (COPEC), Karen has been a key member in the development of a national student fieldwork evaluation form and global rating scale used to assess clinical skills and competencies. An active investigator in Centennial-funded research, Karen’s current research interests include OTA role-emerging fieldwork placements, inter-professional education opportunities using simulation labs, open educational resources and virtual gaming simulation.
