NUPD/H 702 Acute and Chronic Illness Practice
Students will be on a medical-surgical unit for a 1-12 hr shift + 2-hour lab at the college. Online students do NOT attend the lab
NUPD/H 743 Mental Health and Community Practice
Students will be in the mental health or community practice setting for 12 hrs a week. Students may be in placement 1-2 days a week depending on the assigned placement site.
Clinical Placements are organized through the College. Please note the current clinical placements are in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Our Clinical Placement office will organize your placements for you.
Centennial college has a specific uniform for the Bridging to University program. You may go directly to the company to try on and purchase the uniform. You will require two (2) uniforms and one (1) shirt. The company is Red Cotton Uniforms located at 445 Midwest Road, Unit 24, Toronto, Ontario, M1P 4Y9. Telephone (416) 755-6155. Please contact the company in advance to notify them you are coming. For those of you interested, you can also purchase a lab coat if you do not already have one (it must be white, no print).

All students are required to meet their clearance deadline in order to secure their placement spot. All students cleared after the deadline will be placed subject to availability. Please stay in connection with the Placement Requirements team in order to be guided best through the clearance process. Exceptions can be made on a case to case basis.

The placement ID badges are ordered by the Placement Requirements Team and given to the placement coordinators to distribute. All students will receive communication about obtaining their badges closer to their placement start date as process of distribution can vary. Please note: You must have a photo on file with MyCard.
In order to be eligible for this program you must have achieved a minimum 3.0 GPA on all PN Transcripts have no repeats or failures on any prior nursing education transcripts.
No upgrading of courses is permitted at this time to increase GPA requirement.
The online program is offered on a part-time basis and takes 2 years to complete (six consecutive semesters each semester is 14 weeks long)
The Full time Program is 2 semesters and runs September to April of the following year.
The Flex/Part time Program is 3 semesters and runs September to December of the following year OR January to December (of the same year).
This program is completely online except for 2 clinical placements you must complete in Semester 4 and Semester 6. The online aspect is asynchronous meaning you log on at your own pace and submit assignments when requested to do so.
Students in the part-time program 7993 must complete the courses in the order they are offered, there is no option to ‘double up’ on courses and finish the program earlier. This online program is only offered on a part time basis.
Clinical Placements are organized through the College. Please note the current clinical placements are in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). You must be able to attend clinical in the GTA to progress successfully through this program. Our Clinical Placement office will organize your placements for you. You may not organize your own clinical experience.
Please note that the COMM 170/171 is a required course. The college sets the deadline to apply for transfer credits, which is accessed online through myCentennial. This is an online process which can be accessed through this myCentennial link.
