We accept 20 program participants.
The program starts from April 22nd and is 15 weeks in length. The program is full time, generally from 9-5 pm Monday to Friday. The detailed schedule will be available at a later date.
Both online and Centennial College campus (941 Progress Ave).
The program is fully funded by the Ontario government; however, there is a commitment deposit fee of $500 which will be returned upon full completion of the program, (full 25 weeks)
The program will help participants find work placement or you can find placement by yourself that meets program requirements.
Most of work placements are paid but some are unpaid. The rate is typically minimum wage some employers pay a little more.
Small and medium size companies, generally not unionized.
We don’t guarantee a job, however, it depends on the employer’s needs and your performance on the work placement.
Apprenticeship depends on the availability of electrician staff an employer has. Many employers we work with have apprenticeship openings but they offer the opportunity only to those who demonstrate they are a good fit and are committed to the electrical field.
